Job Description

The Assistant Financial Controller supports the hotel’s financial control, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and compliance activities. Candidates should typically hold a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline, with professional accounting qualifications or progress toward them preferred. Several years of experience in hotel finance, hospitality or a similar operational environment is usually expected. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, taxation and accounting systems is important, along with good Excel skills. The successful candidate should be analytical, organised, commercially aware and comfortable working with department heads and senior management. Leadership ability, attention to detail, confidentiality and clear communication are essential, as is the capacity to meet deadlines in a fast-paced hotel setting.
