Malaysia offers varied hospitality and business opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and other tourist destinations. Hotel jobs are commonly available in finance, food and beverage, rooms, events, engineering and guest services. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences, and English is widely used in hotels. Lifestyle ranges from busy city living to relaxed coastal and island communities, with generally affordable food and transport compared with many international destinations. Langkawi and Penang are popular island locations, while Kuala Lumpur provides the broadest career market. Relocating employees should budget for accommodation deposits, transport, medical checks and document processing, and confirm whether staff housing, meals or relocation assistance are included.
