Job Description

The Service Manager – Procurement (Non-Food Buyer) is expected to manage sourcing and purchasing of non-food goods, including hotel supplies, operating equipment, amenities and services. Company Info

Shangri-La is a globally recognized luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other international destinations. The group is known for personalized service, high-quality accommodation, dining, wellness facilities and distinctive resort experiences. In the Philippines, Shangri-La operates established properties in locations such as Manila and Boracay, serving business, leisure and luxury travelers. The company places strong emphasis on hospitality excellence, colleague development, ethical business practices and long-term supplier relationships. A procurement manager within Shangri-La supports hotel operations by ensuring that non-food products and services are purchased competitively, responsibly and in line with brand standards. The role combines commercial judgment, operational coordination and relationship management in a structured international hotel environment.

Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality, procurement, retail, logistics and tourism opportunities, particularly in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan and other major resort destinations. Workplace culture is generally relationship-oriented, respectful and team-focused, with English widely used in professional settings. Island living can provide warm weather, beaches, outdoor activities and a relaxed social lifestyle, although traffic, seasonal weather, infrastructure and living costs vary considerably by location. Manila offers the broadest career market, while resort islands may provide a closer connection to tourism but fewer services and limited housing. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly coordinated with the Bureau of Immigration; requirements should be confirmed before travel. Relocating candidates should budget for accommodation deposits, health insurance, transportation and possible typhoon-related disruption. Filipino applicants should verify benefits, accommodation support, relocation assistance and working hours directly with the employer.
