Company Info

Shangri-La is a Hong Kong-founded luxury hospitality group operating hotels, resorts, and serviced residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets. The company is known for its Asian-inspired hospitality, personalised service, and the “Shangri-La Care” approach to guest and employee wellbeing. Its Singapore properties serve business travellers, tourists, families, and event guests, offering accommodation, restaurants, meeting facilities, and leisure services. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with structured service standards and opportunities to develop through hotel operations and regional career pathways. Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly developed island city with strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, food and beverage, aviation, retail, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Its culture is multicultural, blending Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle is convenient and safe, with excellent public transport, diverse hawker food, shopping, parks, beaches, and a warm tropical climate. Housing can be expensive, especially near the city centre, so many workers share apartments or live in areas connected by MRT. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or eligible Work Permit; approval depends on nationality, qualifications, salary, occupation, and government quotas. Candidates should confirm the employer, contract, accommodation, medical requirements, and pass arrangements before relocating. Singapore offers an efficient but fast-paced working environment and clear professional standards.
