Job Description

The Manager, Events role is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering successful meetings, conferences, weddings and other events at Shangri-La Singapore. Candidates typically need several years of hotel or event-management experience, strong organisational and communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage clients, suppliers and internal departments. Familiarity with event-sales systems, budgeting and banquet operations is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to develop client relationships, prepare proposals and contracts, coordinate event details, monitor budgets, resolve issues promptly and ensure excellent guest service. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve evenings, weekends, public holidays and multiple events running simultaneously.
