Destination Guide

Singapore is a highly developed city-state and a major regional hub for hospitality, tourism, finance, technology, aviation, and events. Hotel professionals may find opportunities with luxury hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, restaurants, convention venues, and international brands. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and service-oriented, with English widely used at work alongside Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, and other languages. Lifestyle is convenient, safe, and urban, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks, and cultural attractions. Accommodation and daily expenses can be high, especially near central areas, so employees often compare housing options and commuting times carefully. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to salary, qualifications, and government approval. Candidates should confirm pass eligibility, medical requirements, tax obligations, and relocation support directly with Shangri-La before accepting an offer.
