The Sales Executive is expected to support Shangri-La’s sales activities in Hong Kong by developing client relationships, promoting hotel rooms, meetings, events and related services, and contributing to revenue targets. Typical requirements include a diploma or degree in hospitality, business or a related field, previous hotel or sales experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and confidence using customer relationship or office systems. Company Info

Its hotel brands include Shangri-La, Kerry Hotels, JEN by Shangri-La and Traders. The group is known for personalised service, Asian-inspired hospitality and premium accommodation, dining, meeting and wellness facilities. In Hong Kong, Shangri-La properties serve luxury leisure travellers, business guests, long-stay residents and corporate or social events. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, professional presentation, teamwork and commercial performance. Benefits and development opportunities vary by property, position and employment contract, so candidates should confirm details such as commission, working hours, accommodation support and medical coverage directly with the recruiting hotel.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a major international business hub built around Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Hospitality, tourism, retail, finance, technology, aviation and professional services offer opportunities for overseas and local workers, although competition is strong. The culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences; respect, punctuality and workplace professionalism are important. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, hiking and beaches, but housing can be expensive and space is limited. Overseas employees generally need an employer-sponsored visa, commonly through the General Employment Policy, requiring a confirmed offer, suitable qualifications or experience and a salary matching market standards. Employers usually assist with the application, but approval is not automatic. Candidates should budget for rent, deposits, insurance and daily expenses, and verify visa, tax and employment conditions before relocating.
