Destination Guide

Thailand offers more than beaches: Bangkok is the main hub for investment banking, finance, consulting, technology, and multinational careers, while Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi provide tourism, hospitality, property, and digital-nomad opportunities. Thai culture values politeness, respect for hierarchy, family, and calm communication. Daily life can be affordable outside central Bangkok, although rent in business districts and popular islands is higher. Bangkok provides excellent transport, international schools, hospitals, restaurants, and professional networks; island living is slower but may have fewer corporate services. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before starting work. Employers usually assist with sponsorship and documentation, but requirements can change, so confirm details with Thailand’s immigration authorities. Relocation planning should include housing, healthcare, tax registration, banking, insurance, and climate preparation. Thailand’s islands are ideal for holidays, while Bangkok is generally the practical base for this role.
