Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, dense urban neighborhoods, international restaurants, shopping, beaches, hiking trails, and nearby islands such as Lantau and Cheung Chau. Housing is expensive, especially on Hong Kong Island and in central Kowloon, while public transport is efficient and reliable. Dependants may usually accompany approved professionals. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, banking, healthcare coverage, and tax advice, and should check current immigration rules before relocating.
