Destination Guide

Spain’s main tourism islands, including Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, offer regular opportunities in hotel sales, front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, entertainment, wellness and resort management. The culture combines Spanish traditions with strong local island identities, relaxed social life, outdoor activities and international communities. Lifestyle benefits include beaches, warm weather, water sports and year-round tourism, although summer work can be demanding and housing may be expensive, especially in Ibiza, Mallorca and the Canary Islands. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa but must complete local registration. Non-EU candidates generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and legal residence authorization before starting employment. Relocation usually involves arranging accommodation, a Spanish tax number, social-security registration and health coverage. Spanish language skills are valuable, while English and German are often useful in resort areas.
