The Spanish Islands, particularly Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, and Tenerife, offer employment in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events, retail, transport, and property services. Mallorca has the strongest year-round business base and is home to Palma, a major corporate, cruise, and conference destination. Island culture combines Spanish and local traditions, Mediterranean food, festivals, outdoor living, and a relaxed social atmosphere. Lifestyle advantages include beaches, sailing, hiking, and mild winters, although summer work can be intense and housing may be expensive, especially in tourist areas. EU and EEA citizens can work with registration and a Spanish social security number. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit or another valid residence route. Relocating typically requires arranging accommodation, health coverage, tax registration, banking, and local transport before starting work.
