Job Description

The Cook will prepare dishes according to Meliá’s recipes, quality standards and food-safety procedures. Responsibilities typically include ingredient preparation, cooking, presentation, stock rotation, maintaining a clean workstation and cooperating with the kitchen team during busy service periods. Candidates are expected to have culinary training or relevant professional experience, knowledge of hygiene and HACCP practices, good organisation and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Teamwork, flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays, and a professional attitude are important. Spanish is generally useful for communication, while additional languages and hotel or international kitchen experience may be advantageous.
