Working in Spain Islands

Spain’s islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, offer strong employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, entertainment, wellness and customer service. Tenerife has a particularly active year-round hospitality market, supported by its mild climate and international visitors. Island culture combines Spanish traditions with local Canarian food, music, festivals and a relaxed outdoor lifestyle. Employees enjoy beaches, hiking, water sports and generally good weather, although housing can be expensive in popular resort areas. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work with appropriate registration. Non-EU nationals normally need an employer-supported work permit and visa before starting employment. Applicants should confirm contract terms, accommodation, transport, taxes, social security and relocation costs. Spanish is useful, while English and other tourist languages can significantly improve employment prospects.
