The Data Centre Operations Manager leads the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Amazon’s data-centre infrastructure in Ireland. Requirements typically include experience managing critical facilities or technical operations, strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance planning, health and safety, incident response, vendor management and operational procedures. The candidate is expected to lead and develop engineering teams, coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance, manage budgets and contractors, investigate incidents, and maintain high standards of availability, security and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, decision-making, documentation and customer-service skills are important. Experience in data centres, telecommunications, industrial facilities, power systems or other mission-critical environments is highly desirable.
