The EHS Specialist will support environmental, health, and safety management at Takeda’s Osaka manufacturing site. Responsibilities typically include maintaining compliance with Japanese EHS laws and Takeda standards, conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, safety training, environmental monitoring, and improvement initiatives. Candidates should have practical experience in industrial EHS, preferably within pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing operations. Knowledge of Japanese occupational safety, environmental regulations, ISO management systems, and risk assessment methods is expected. Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills are essential. The assistant-manager level requires the ability to work independently, influence site leaders and employees, and promote a strong safety culture in both Japanese and, where necessary, English.
