Job Description

The Pattern Technologist is responsible for developing, modifying and maintaining accurate garment patterns to meet design, fit, construction and production requirements. Typical requirements include a qualification or diploma in apparel technology, pattern making or fashion technology, practical experience with garment patterns, knowledge of fit and garment construction, and proficiency in CAD pattern-design software. The candidate is expected to interpret design specifications, create technically accurate patterns, participate in fittings, identify and resolve fit or construction issues, prepare graded patterns and support sample and production teams. Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, communication skills, teamwork and the ability to meet development deadlines are essential. Experience with lingerie, sportswear or intimate apparel may be advantageous.
