Its culture blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals, languages, and neighbourhoods. Life is clean, safe, efficient, and highly connected, although accommodation and daily expenses can be expensive. Public transport is excellent, and beaches, parks, shopping districts, and cultural areas are easy to reach. Hospitality employees should expect structured workplaces, high service standards, shift work, and a fast-paced environment.
