Engineering Supervisor

Job Description

The Engineering Supervisor oversees daily maintenance and repair operations across the hotel, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems and guest-room facilities. Requirements generally include a technical diploma or equivalent qualification, relevant hotel or building-services experience, practical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with health, safety and preventive-maintenance procedures. The candidate is expected to supervise technicians, allocate work, respond promptly to breakdowns, maintain service records, coordinate with contractors and ensure facilities meet Shangri-La standards. Strong communication, leadership, flexibility and a hands-on approach are important. Experience in a luxury hotel, knowledge of energy-saving practices and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays would be advantageous.
