Candidates should be physically fit, comfortable standing for extended periods and able to handle commercial laundry equipment safely. Attention to detail is important when checking stains, fabric condition and cleanliness. Previous hotel, laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred, although suitable applicants may receive on-the-job training. The successful candidate is expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, follow health and safety procedures, maintain accurate handling of linen and cooperate closely with housekeeping and other hotel departments. Shift work, weekends and public holidays may be required.
