Security Officer

Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, colleagues, hotel property and facilities at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Typical duties include monitoring access points and surveillance systems, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, managing emergencies, preparing reports and supporting fire and life-safety procedures. Candidates should normally have relevant hotel, commercial or security experience, good physical fitness, professional presentation and strong observation skills. A valid Hong Kong security personnel permit or the ability to obtain one is generally required. Good spoken Cantonese, English and preferably Putonghua are valuable. The role requires integrity, calm judgment, customer-service awareness, confidentiality and the flexibility to work rotating shifts, overnight duties, weekends and public holidays.
