Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance of hotel public spaces such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, and guest facilities. Requirements typically include relevant hotel housekeeping experience, supervisory skills, knowledge of cleaning standards, attention to detail, and good spoken English; Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous in Hong Kong. The successful candidate is expected to lead and train attendants, allocate daily duties, inspect work, coordinate with engineering and front office teams, respond promptly to guest needs, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and support Shangri-La’s service expectations. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required.
