Job Description

The Events Coordinator supports the planning and delivery of conferences, weddings, meetings and other functions at Shangri-La Colombo. Responsibilities typically include coordinating with clients and internal departments, preparing event documentation, managing schedules and suppliers, assisting with set-up, monitoring service standards and resolving issues during events. Candidates are expected to have experience in hospitality, events, banqueting or customer service, strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence working under pressure. Professional English is important; knowledge of Sinhala or Tamil is advantageous.
