Indonesia offers varied hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and the Riau Islands. Bali has the largest concentration of international hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness businesses, and tourism roles, while Jakarta and Surabaya provide broader corporate and urban opportunities. Indonesian workplace culture generally values respect for seniority, teamwork, politeness, and relationship building. Lifestyle ranges from busy metropolitan living to relaxed coastal or island communities, with affordable local food and transport, although housing and imported goods can be costly in tourist areas. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and limited-stay visa, with the company handling much of the immigration process.
