Company Info

The company is recognised for warm Asian hospitality, high service standards and strong food-and-beverage operations. Shangri-La hotels typically offer restaurants, pastry kitchens, banqueting facilities, spas and extensive guest services. Employees work in multicultural environments and may receive training, staff meals, uniform support, medical benefits or other hotel-specific benefits. In Hong Kong, the group operates well-known luxury properties serving international travellers, business guests and local customers. Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, catering, retail and tourism, particularly for candidates with pastry, culinary or luxury-service experience. Its culture combines Cantonese traditions with international influences, and workplaces are generally fast-paced, structured and multicultural. Lifestyle is convenient but expensive, with excellent public transport, dense urban areas, vibrant dining, hiking trails, beaches and nearby islands such as Lantau and Cheung Chau. Rents are high, so many employees share accommodation or live farther from central districts. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored employment visa before starting work; approval depends on qualifications, a confirmed job and proof that the role meets local requirements. Applicants should prepare passports, certificates, references and medical or background documents where requested. Relocating employees should budget for housing deposits, transport, food and initial living costs.
