Company Info

Shangri-La is a major luxury hospitality group founded in Asia and recognized for its refined service, distinctive hotels, resorts, and commitment to genuine Asian hospitality. The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international destinations. Its Hong Kong hotels serve business and leisure travelers with accommodation, restaurants, banqueting, wellness facilities, and large-scale events. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, culinary quality, professional development, teamwork, and attention to detail. Employees typically work in structured, international environments with opportunities to build experience across hotel departments and properties. Depending on the position and hotel, staff benefits may include meals, uniforms, training, medical coverage, discounts, and service-charge participation. Exact benefits and compensation vary according to the specific Hong Kong property, contract, experience, and employment terms.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, catering, tourism, retail, finance, technology, and international business. Its culture combines Cantonese traditions, Chinese festivals, global influences, and a fast-paced professional lifestyle. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, diverse food, lively neighborhoods, hiking trails, beaches, and easy access to nearby islands and mainland China. Accommodation can be expensive, especially on Hong Kong Island and in central areas, so many employees live in Kowloon or the New Territories and commute by MTR. Foreign professionals normally require an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer; applicants must show relevant qualifications or experience, a confirmed job, and suitable remuneration. Employers usually assist with the application, but approval is handled by the Immigration Department. New arrivals should arrange housing, insurance, banking, and document checks before moving.
