The company is known for warm Asian hospitality, attentive personal service, and high standards in accommodation, dining, meetings, and leisure facilities. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, teamwork, professional presentation, and employee development. Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, retail, healthcare, technology, and shared services. Popular destinations include Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, and the resort islands of Sabah and Terengganu. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences; English is widely used in hospitality, although Malay is the national language. Lifestyle costs vary, with Kuala Lumpur generally more expensive than smaller towns or island areas. Employees usually need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, and the company normally handles the application and immigration process. Bring certified qualifications, passport documents, and employment references. Malaysia has tropical weather, affordable local food, modern shopping, and excellent regional travel connections. Island locations can be quieter but may have fewer housing, transport, and healthcare choices, so relocation planning is important.
