Job Description

The General Ledger Supervisor oversees daily ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and financial reporting. Candidates typically need a degree or diploma in accounting or finance, relevant hotel or corporate accounting experience, and familiarity with accounting systems and Malaysian financial practices. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership are advantageous. The role requires accuracy, strong analytical and organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines. The successful candidate is expected to supervise accounting staff, review work, resolve discrepancies, support audits, maintain internal controls, and work closely with other departments and management.
