Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. Hospitality offers many opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, and tourism, especially for candidates with strong English and customer-service experience. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage, and a highly international population; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected. Lifestyle varies from energetic city living and shopping to beaches, desert excursions, and quieter coastal communities. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas, with the company usually arranging medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and permits. Contracts commonly include accommodation or an allowance, transport, meals, healthcare, and annual leave, but benefits differ by employer. Employees should confirm all terms, recruitment fees, working hours, and accommodation arrangements before relocating.
