The Youth Worker supports young people experiencing emotional, social, behavioural or practical challenges, helping them build confidence, independence and stability. Responsibilities may include providing day-to-day support, mentoring, assisting with routines and appointments, encouraging community participation, maintaining accurate records and responding appropriately to changing needs. Candidates are generally expected to have a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services or a related field, along with relevant experience supporting young people. A current police check, Working with Children Check, NDIS screening clearance, First Aid and CPR may be required. The successful candidate should be empathetic, reliable, resilient and able to communicate effectively, maintain professional boundaries, work within care plans and participate in rotating shifts.
