Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in aviation, tourism, marketing, technology, healthcare, construction, education and professional services, especially in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. The culture is generally informal, diverse and outdoor-focused, with an emphasis on work-life balance and direct communication. Lifestyle varies from busy major cities to relaxed coastal and regional communities, although housing and transport costs can be high in Sydney and Melbourne. International applicants usually need an appropriate work visa, such as an employer-sponsored visa, skilled visa or working holiday visa, depending on their occupation, nationality and experience. Relocation normally involves arranging permission to work, accommodation, health insurance, tax registration and banking. Australia is geographically vast, so choosing a location near the employer is important. Qantas roles may also require background checks, aviation security clearance and flexibility for domestic or international travel.
