Collections Driver

Job Description

A Collections Driver collects letters, parcels and other mail from post offices, businesses and collection points, then transports them safely to the appropriate Royal Mail depot. The role requires a valid UK driving licence, safe and responsible driving, good knowledge of local roads, physical fitness for loading and unloading, and the ability to follow delivery, security and vehicle-check procedures. Previous commercial driving or logistics experience is useful but may not always be essential. Candidates are expected to be reliable, punctual, customer-focused and comfortable working independently in changing weather and traffic conditions.
