Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a strong destination for hospitality careers, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines, and catering companies regularly recruit chefs and kitchen staff. The culture is multicultural and respectful, with Islamic traditions influencing dress, public behavior, and holiday periods. Dubai offers modern transport, shopping, beaches, desert activities, and an active international lifestyle, though accommodation and transport costs can be high without an employer package. Most overseas workers receive an employer-sponsored work permit and residence visa, commonly including medical testing and an Emirates ID. Do not work on a tourist visa. Confirm whether the offer includes accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, annual leave, flights, and gratuity. Summers are extremely hot, while winter is more comfortable for outdoor activities. UAE employment contracts and visa rules should be checked with the employer before relocation.
