Destination Guide

Thailand offers many hospitality opportunities on islands and coastal destinations, especially in Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Chang, Koh Phi Phi, and Koh Lanta. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, diving centers, and tour companies regularly recruit chefs, servers, housekeeping staff, engineers, and guest-service professionals. Island life is relaxed and outdoor-oriented, with beaches, markets, temples, seafood, and strong local traditions. Living costs vary: Phuket and Koh Samui are generally more expensive than smaller islands, while Rayong offers easier access to mainland services. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before legally working; requirements should be confirmed with the employer and Thai authorities. Relocation planning should include accommodation, medical insurance, transport, banking, document legalization, and rainy-season conditions. Learning basic Thai and respecting local customs will make settling in easier.
