Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest number of hospitality, retail, aviation, tourism, and service-sector jobs. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international population. Dubai provides a modern lifestyle, excellent public transport, beaches, shopping, dining, and year-round entertainment, although summer temperatures are extremely hot. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, residence permits, medical checks, and sometimes accommodation, meals, or transport. Candidates should secure a written offer before relocating and confirm salary, benefits, probation terms, and accommodation arrangements. Passports should remain with the employee, and employment contracts must follow UAE labor regulations. Living costs can be high, especially for private housing, but staff accommodation helps reduce expenses. Respectful dress, punctuality, and awareness of local customs are important.
