Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations, menu execution, food quality, hygiene, cost control, purchasing, and team development across the hotel. Candidates are generally expected to have substantial experience in luxury or high-volume hotel kitchens, strong knowledge of international cuisine, HACCP and food-safety standards, and proven leadership skills. The role requires excellent organization, creativity, financial awareness, and the ability to train and motivate a diverse culinary team. Professional culinary qualifications and fluent or working-level English are advantageous; Japanese communication skills may also be valuable in Japan. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential.
