Company Info

Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa is an upscale beachfront resort on Koh Samui, Thailand, operating under the Renaissance Hotels brand of Marriott International. The resort combines contemporary Thai-inspired design with tropical surroundings, offering guest rooms, villas, restaurants, bars, spa facilities, pools, meeting spaces, and direct access to a quieter section of Lamai Beach. Renaissance Hotels focuses on creating distinctive, locally connected stays, encouraging guests to discover the character, culture, food, and experiences of each destination. As part of Marriott International, the resort offers structured operating standards, international career opportunities, employee training, and access to Marriott’s global benefits and hotel network, subject to local employment terms. Destination Guide

Koh Samui offers hospitality opportunities in resorts, hotels, restaurants, wellness centers, watersports, retail, tourism, and property services. English is widely used in tourism, while Thai language ability is a valuable advantage. Local culture emphasizes respect, politeness, modest behavior around temples, and a relaxed community lifestyle. Life on the island includes beaches, outdoor activities, markets, nightlife, and a slower pace than Bangkok, although costs can be higher in tourist areas. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and Thai work permit before legally working; requirements depend on nationality, position, and employer documentation. Employers commonly assist with the process, but candidates should confirm sponsorship, accommodation, transportation, healthcare, tax, and service-charge arrangements before accepting an offer. Koh Samui has an international airport, though flights and imported goods may be more expensive than on the mainland.
