Company Info

Sheraton Belitung Resort is an upscale Marriott International property on Belitung Island, Indonesia, designed for leisure travelers, families, groups, and destination events. Sheraton is Marriott’s globally recognized full-service hotel brand, known for welcoming public spaces, comfortable accommodation, food and beverage venues, meeting facilities, and a community-oriented guest experience. The resort environment combines international operating standards with Belitung’s beaches, marine attractions, and local culture. Culinary operations are likely to serve hotel guests, conferences, weddings, banquets, and resort dining outlets, creating opportunities to showcase Indonesian seafood and regional flavors alongside international cuisine. Employees generally work within Marriott’s structured service, leadership, food-safety, and training systems. Specific benefits and employment conditions depend on the offer and local contract, so candidates should confirm housing, transport, leave, insurance, bonus arrangements, and work-permit sponsorship directly with the employer.

Destination Guide

Belitung is a relaxed Indonesian island east of Sumatra, known for white-sand beaches, granite boulders, clear water, seafood, and a slower lifestyle than Bali or Jakarta. Hospitality is the main source of professional opportunity, with roles in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, diving, transport, and guest services. Local culture is friendly and community-oriented, with strong Malay and Indonesian influences and predominantly Muslim traditions; respectful dress and behavior are appreciated outside resort areas. Living costs are generally lower than in Bali, although imported goods can be expensive. Tanjung Pandan is the main town for shopping, healthcare, schools, banking, and airport access. Foreign employees need an employer-sponsored Indonesian work permit and appropriate stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocation packages may include accommodation, meals, flights, insurance, and transport, but these should be confirmed in writing before accepting an offer.
