Job Description

The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, basic cooking, plating, stock handling and maintaining clean, organised work areas. Applicants are generally expected to have commercial kitchen experience or culinary training, a genuine interest in hospitality, and an understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures. The role requires teamwork, reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. Candidates should be physically fit, willing to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays, and able to follow instructions from senior chefs. A relevant culinary qualification, food safety certificate and experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen may be advantageous.
