Job Description

The Demi Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, presentation and maintaining high service standards across the hotel’s outlets. Applicants should have commercial cookery experience, sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures, good knife skills, and the ability to follow recipes and portion controls. Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous. The role requires reliable teamwork, attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. Candidates are expected to maintain a clean workstation, minimise waste, follow Marriott and hotel policies, communicate clearly with colleagues, and provide consistent, high-quality food. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
