Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality work across Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Chang, and mainland resort areas such as Khao Lak. Common opportunities include kitchen, restaurant, housekeeping, front office, spa, engineering, and guest-relations roles. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect, calm communication, family, and saving face. Resort life can be social and rewarding, although shifts, heat, seasonal demand, and living costs vary by destination. Khao Lak is quieter and more nature-focused, while Phuket and Koh Samui provide busier nightlife and larger expatriate communities. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before working legally; requirements and costs should be confirmed with the employer and Thai authorities. Bring certified qualifications, passport copies, references, and medical documents. Check accommodation, meals, transport, service charge, insurance, contract length, and visa support before relocating.
