Job Description

The Telephone Operator supports hotel communications by answering and transferring calls, taking messages, assisting guests with information, and directing requests to the appropriate department. Candidates are generally expected to have strong spoken English, a polite and professional telephone manner, good listening and communication skills, and basic computer knowledge. Previous hotel, customer service, or switchboard experience is helpful, while knowledge of additional languages can be an advantage. The role requires reliability, patience, accurate message handling, and the ability to remain calm during busy periods. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required. The successful candidate should deliver efficient, warm service consistent with Aloft and Marriott standards.
