Job Description

The Demi Chef – Malay Banquet supports the culinary team in preparing authentic Malay dishes and banquet menus. Requirements typically include culinary training or relevant kitchen experience, knowledge of Malay cuisine, food safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to follow recipes and portion controls. The candidate is expected to prepare ingredients, assist with cooking and presentation, maintain a clean and organized workstation, manage kitchen equipment responsibly, and work efficiently during busy banquet services. Flexibility, teamwork, discipline, attention to detail, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays are important. Experience in a hotel or high-volume banquet kitchen would be advantageous.
