Job Description

The Demi Chef Pastry supports the pastry kitchen in preparing breads, cakes, desserts, pastries and other baked products according to Marriott standards. Candidates are generally expected to have culinary or pastry training, previous hotel or bakery experience, good knowledge of food hygiene, recipe procedures and kitchen safety. The role requires practical baking skills, attention to detail, creativity, teamwork and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. The successful candidate should maintain clean workstations, control ingredients, follow portion and quality standards, assist senior chefs and contribute positively to a professional kitchen environment. Flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
