Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality, sales, reservations, events, restaurant, wellness, and tourism jobs in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, and other destinations. Phuket and Koh Samui provide an island lifestyle with beaches, boating, diving, and international communities, while Bangkok offers broader career opportunities and public transport. Thai culture values politeness, respect for seniority, family, and moderation; learning basic Thai is helpful. Living costs vary widely, with island accommodation and imported goods often more expensive than in Bangkok. Foreign employees generally need a Thai employer, a Non-Immigrant B visa, and a work permit arranged with government approval before working legally. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation, flights, insurance, or relocation, but terms differ. Candidates should verify salary, service charge, housing, probation, visa sponsorship, and work-permit responsibilities before accepting an offer.
