Destination Guide

Bahrain is a compact Gulf island nation with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, retail, aviation, technology, and events. Manama and surrounding districts offer hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, offices, and international communities. The culture blends Arab traditions with a comparatively relaxed, welcoming, and multicultural lifestyle. Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used in business and hotels. Residents enjoy beaches, island trips, restaurants, museums, motorsport, and a lively weekend social scene, although summers are extremely hot. Most foreign employees require an employer-sponsored work visa and residence permit; the employer commonly manages medical checks, documentation, and sponsorship procedures. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, transport, flights, medical insurance, and annual leave are included in the offer. Housing ranges from shared staff accommodation to private apartments, and living costs vary considerably by location and lifestyle.
