Company Info

Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok is a full-service luxury hotel located along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. The property offers guest rooms and suites, restaurants and bars, meeting facilities, leisure amenities, and river views, serving both international travelers and local guests. Giorgio’s Restaurant is associated with the hotel’s Italian dining offering. The hotel operates under the Sheraton brand, part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. Marriott properties generally emphasize guest service, operational standards, colleague development, diversity, and career mobility across its global network. Employees may receive benefits such as staff meals, training, hotel discounts, and service-related incentives, depending on local policy and employment terms. The role is based in Bangkok rather than on a Thai island, but provides experience in a major international city hotel.

Destination Guide

Thailand’s islands offer strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars, diving, wellness, housekeeping, engineering, and guest services. Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phangan, and Koh Chang are popular employment destinations, with peak hiring usually before the high season. Island life is relaxed and outdoors-focused, with beaches, boating, snorkeling, markets, and a close community atmosphere, though housing, transport, and imported goods can be expensive. Thai culture values politeness, respect for elders, modesty, and maintaining harmony; learning basic Thai is helpful. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before legally working. Employers commonly assist with documentation, but requirements can vary. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, service charge, insurance, and visa support in writing. Bangkok offers broader career options and transport links, while island roles may provide staff housing and a more resort-oriented lifestyle.
