Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort destinations. Bali, particularly Jimbaran, has strong demand for hotel, restaurant, spa, events, sales, and guest-experience professionals. The lifestyle combines warm weather, beaches, outdoor activities, international communities, and rich Hindu-Balinese culture, although traffic, seasonal tourism, and living costs in popular areas can be challenging. Respectful dress and behavior at temples and during ceremonies are important. Foreign employees normally require employer sponsorship, a work-authorized KITAS, and an appropriate work permit; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers may provide accommodation, meals, transport, health insurance, or relocation assistance, but these benefits should be confirmed in writing. Candidates should arrange passport validity, medical checks, document legalization, and local registration before arrival. Bali is well connected internationally, while Lombok and smaller islands offer a quieter lifestyle but fewer specialized career options.
