This role leads product and system development for Rakuten Pay’s online payment services. Responsibilities typically include defining product requirements, coordinating business, design, engineering and operations teams, managing schedules and priorities, overseeing releases, and improving customer and merchant experiences. Candidates are expected to have experience in product management, project management, system development or digital payments, along with strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Knowledge of web services, payment platforms, UX, Agile development and Japanese business practices is advantageous. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across departments and with Rakuten Payment during the secondment, taking ownership from planning through delivery while balancing quality, security, compliance and business goals.
