Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, business services, healthcare, and information technology. Metro Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and Davao are major employment centers, with luxury-hospitality roles concentrated in Manila and resort destinations. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, and welcoming, and English is widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle costs vary: Makati is convenient but relatively expensive, while nearby areas offer more affordable housing. The country provides beaches, outdoor activities, festivals, and lively urban entertainment, although traffic and tropical weather can be challenging. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and Alien Employment Permit, while visa requirements depend on nationality and assignment length. Candidates should confirm documentation, accommodation, healthcare, taxes, and relocation support with the employer before moving.
