Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai offering extensive opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation and business services. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; respectful dress, punctuality and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Dubai’s lifestyle is modern and energetic, with beaches, shopping, dining, nightlife and desert activities, although summers are extremely hot. Employers usually arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID after hiring; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Many hospitality packages include accommodation, meals, transport, health insurance and annual leave, but this should be confirmed in writing. Candidates should budget for initial expenses, check contract terms carefully and verify recruitment agencies. Public transport is convenient in Dubai, while shared accommodation is common for entry-level hospitality staff.
